| In
support of George Mason University's strategic priorities, GMU-TV
assists with the creation and development of instructional materials
training and promotional tapes, modules, and courses suitable
for television broadcast. To facilitate this mission and to
insure high quality instructional materials, GMU-TV invites
proposals from academic departments and faculty members who
wish to develop such materials. The following procedures help
to provide the most effective support for these projects.
Initial
Meeting Faculty
or departments interested in instructional videos should call
and arrange for a tour and a meeting with an instructional
video producer. GMU-TVis located on the 4th floor of Innovation
Hall. Our phone number is 993-3110. During this initial meeting,
the GMU-TV staff will explain the options and technology
available for video and show some examples of GMU-TV work.
This initial meeting will also serve as a brainstorming session
to help you envision the best way to present their particular
material via television and provide the framework for an Instructional
Video Proposal. After this initial meeting, GMU-TV staff
will continue to provide assistance in developing the proposal
and a script for the project.
Tape costs are a consideration depending on the size of the
project, GMU-TV reserves the right to ask the department to
pay for tapes.
